VOIP Phone Testers

Note: The pay on this looks very low. I would confirm with Comcast on this position. They claim it will cover the phone bill. It doesn't look like it will cover much else. 

Appian Communications, LLC is helping to build a new VOIP system and is seeking several part time independent contractors (US) to help stress test the system.


This is mostly passive work; it involves calling in and setting the phone aside for a specific amount of time.


Requirements:


You must already have phone service with one of the following carriers:


Comcast Voice (landline)

Verizon Wireless


You must have or be willing to add an international plan to your phone.


Testers must be willing/able to make 99% of their calls.

Job Responsibilities
You will experience a different kind of job, working from the comfort of your own home office. Because of our many clients, we can offer a wide variety of calls or chat service queues that you might find exciting: Customer Service, Account Management, Technical Support, Billing / Collections, and Inbound Sales. Just as if you were sitting in a tradition call center environment, the main responsibility is to answer back-to-back calls and customer service inquiries during your shift to assist customers and resolve issues on each call, just as if you were working inside a traditional call center.
Other responsibilities will include:
  • Effectively dealing with any issues and solving problems that arise on the phone with effective communication skills
  • Consistently using multi-tasking skills to follow an internal process of understanding the issue and finding a solution to the issue while communicating with the customer
  • Handing a large number of calls each day without losing enthusiastic voice and attitude
  • Answering all calls promptly and efficiently

Requirements
To qualify for the position, you must be over 18 years of age and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. In addition, the Customer Service Rep must be available and willing to work at least one, preferably two weekend days each week.
Other requirements include:
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, Strong ability to multi task, Positive and professional attitude

WORK FROM HOME - Network Project Manager

Job Description

Network Project Manager The Network Project Manager will be supporting a Datacenter Transformation Program and will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities to manage and implement network solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong Networking systems and Telco background. Duties:
  • Working with an experienced group of network technology professionals, the Network PM will be managing many network project variables
  • Determine, monitor, and review all project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources and risks
  • Lead the project team in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans
  • Identify and assemble the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements, manages sub-contractors
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project
  • Develops project control and reporting procedures and manages changes in operational plan
  • Undertake status review meetings among project team members and clients
  • Work with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules
  • Coach and advice team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues
  • Proactively influence customers to apply project planning methodologies
  • Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements
  • Controls project requirements, scope, and change management issues
  • Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria
  • Install appropriate automated systems for management of projects
  • Develop, propos, and negotiate project proposals, quotations, and add-ons to leadership and the client
  • Analyze needs and recommend appropriate planning concepts and tools to be used for all facets of planning, scheduling, and tracking projects
  • Analyze project progress / costs and facilitate the development of recommended alternatives
  • Integrate and use project management methodologies
  • Create communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders including the customer
  • Advise senior management on project management capability and risk
  • Maintain awareness on emerging technologies and project management techniques
Required Skills:
  • 7-10 years’ experience in managing large scale network implementation projects
  • Advanced skill in presentation and presentation tools (i.e. MS Suite to include: PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, etc.)
  • Must be able to manage 4-6 concurrent projects with competing priorities
  • Proficient with project management tools.
  • Ability to work with Account teams, Network Architects, and Engineers to convert business networking requirements into practical technical networking specifications
  • Ability to recognize issues and out of scope requests and can answer high level networking questions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to make executive presentations
  • Ability to manage client expectations, project deliverables, scope creep and timelines, navigate through obstacles, and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work in high-pressure client-environments with aggressive deadlines
  • Evening and Weekend work required on occasion for Project roll-outs
Desired Skills:
  • PMP Certification
