Sr. VoIP/Telecom Traffic Planning Engineer

The Sr. Traffic Planning Engineer is responsible for traffic engineering of the voice/VoIP network. Specific network element capacities are monitored and appropriately sized for augments or reductions to maintain utilization within specified bands. Network elements include, but are not limited to, trunk groups, bandwidth, ports, hardware, telephone numbers, and facilities interconnect. The Sr. Traffic Planning Engineer will focus on expanding and improving the NewCross network and its services utilizing a systematic and team approach ensuring that both cost and reliability are being addressed at all times. The Sr. Traffic Planning Engineer will take a proactive approach to planning for and identifing areas of potential blocking and create documented plans to address the areas of concern.
