Bankruptcy and Debt Law Writer

Nolo, the oldest and foremost publisher of self-help legal books and software for consumers, and Internet Brands, a leader in online publishing for vertical markets, are seeking writers with a strong legal background to contribute well-written, informative articles on bankruptcy, debt, credit, and consumer law.
We are currently accepting applications in the following areas only (you don't need expertise in both areas; one will suffice):
  • bankruptcy -- attorneys with expertise in Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy
  • student loan debt -- attorneys with knowledge about and experience in student loan collection, government student loan repayment programs, discharging student loans in bankruptcy, and other issues relating to student loan debt
At this time we are not seeking attorneys to write on nonbankruptcy debt-related issues (wage garnishment, car repossessions, personal property repossessions, fair debt collection laws, negotiating with creditors, credit repair, credit report/score issues, and the like). If your experience is in one of these areas, check back later.
This is a 100% freelance, telecommuting position. Assignments, writing, editing, and submissions are all handled through our online system.
Requirements
  • Must be able to write easy-to-understand, legally accurate articles for consumers.
  • Must be a lawyer with in-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of law described above.
