IT Business Analyst – US Telecommute

Position Description

In this position you will be supporting short and long term operational and strategic business activities by being part of a team that develops, enhances, and maintains operational reporting to track Provider Experience. You will also develop and implement effective and strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • You will act as a liaison between the business users of reporting and the development team
  • You will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements for new functionality and maintenance to existing functionality (For data ingestion process). Must be able to clearly communicate with Developers on business requirements.
  • You will facilitate project team meetings to track progress of the release; track project tasks and status; track roadblocks and issues; and write meeting minutes
  • You will be responsible for providing all project documentation (i.e. business requirements documents, meeting minutes)
  • You will provide project status updates and raise project risks as needed
  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed; requires attention to detail and detailed oriented type professional
  • You will work with less structured, more complex issues; hence needs to be self-driven, accountable, and geared towards getting results
  • Serve as a resource to developers, project team, etc. on business needs and requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
  • 3+ years of full-time experience in business analysis
  • 3+ years of experience writing business requirements documents, meeting minutes, etc
  • 1+ years of experience writing and executing test plans and test cases including calculating expected values from test data
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel including ability to create pivot tables, create complex formulas, spreadsheets, and VLookup in Excel
  • Experience working with relational databases and database structures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hadoop experience highly preferred
  • Prior Health Care Insurance experience preferred
