Responsibilities will Include:
Oversee staff of on shore developers and serve as liaison to off shore development manager.
Manage the assignment of development tasks, monitor the progress of tasks against deadline, and ensure quality work.
Participate in code reviews as necessary to ensure code aligns with architecture.
Manage and mentor development & architect staff.
Coordinate with IT to maintain environments and hardware.
Develop short and long-term plans that are consistent with the needs and priorities of the business and its customers.
Solicit and maintain client relationships.
Position Requirements:
10+ years of overall development experience with at least 3 years of management experience.
Experience with Agile Methodologies.
Technical experience with: Java, JSP, JavaScript, Oracle, Application Server (JBoss a plus), and web-based applications (J2EE).
Prefer experience with the following: Eclipse, Hibernate, Jbpm, Jetspeed, Struts, CVS, Subversion, VersionOne.
Must work well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Must have stable work history with demonstrated experience with full life cycle development
Experience in Financial Services industry a plus (banking credit card, etc.).
Additional Information:
Applicants must reside on the east coast
The position involves minimal (10%) travel
