Our client is recognized as a manufacturing leader in the Dallas – Fort Worth area! Our client has a need for Crystal Reports developer that is familiar with Vantage/Epicor ERP application. In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of the Crystal Reports financial based modules for this large-scale reporting environment. As the Crystal Reports Developer, you will be responsible for the full life cycle development, implementation, production support, and performance tuning of the various Vantage / Epicor modules and reporting needs. You will interact with various functional department teams, project managers, and senior management. You should be experienced in analyzing, defining, and documenting data requirements, and reporting needs from existing budgeting and planning processes.
Key Objectives:
-- Perform day-to-day Crystal Reports programming functions as directed.
-- Create reports and reporting environments of data from various departmental data.
-- Programming in Report Builder, R&R Report Writer, and Crystal Reports v10 to perform the data query functions.
-- Implement the strategic plan for support of future company information requirements.
-- Support effective and efficient business processes in partnership with other software and reporting development teams.
-- Identify ownership and accountability for enterprise reporting information.
-- Ensure that information needs and business rules are in compliance with enterprise policies and standards.
-- Build a framework for accurately capturing, sharing, distributing, securing, and leveraging company data resources.
Minimum Technical Requirements:
-- 7+ years Information Technology experience.
-- 3+ years experience in a Crystal Reporting programming environment, version 8-10 preferred. Familiar with Report Builder, R&R Report Writer.
-- 5+ years experience in as a end-user reports developer.
-- Strong background in structured systems and data analysis.
-- Demonstrated ability with JAD and RAD methodologies.
-- Proficient with MS Office suite.
Required:
-- Excellent end-user management expertise;
-- Strong ability to work with business units to formulate business and data requirements.
-- Ability to work with other database administrators to complete database designs and models.
-- Highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills dedicated to completing tasks on schedule.
• Should be able to interface with the IT group’s staff.
• Should be familiar with network and PC operations and functions but not necessary to be an administrator type.
Desired:
• Experience in the manufacturing industry a plus!
• Good with dealing with different types of users (finance, warehouse, and manufacturing), helpful to know manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with Vantage version 8 (and its database schema), and also preferably with Vantage 6.1 as well;
Education:
-- BS or BA, desirable.
