Description
TechOp Solutions International is currently looking for a talented and ambitious Junior Web Developer to assist in the development of a critical DoD Sharepoint based GIS web portal. This can be a telecommute position, with some travel to the client site in Arlington, VA.
Project Related Responsibilities
· Development and maintenance of custom Sharepoint web parts
· Development and maintenance of ASP.NET applications
· Assisting in the development of ArcIMS Viewer
· An understanding of data driven websites
· An understanding of SOA and Web Services
· An understanding of Visual SourceSafe and version control
· Adherence to coding standards as defined by the client
· Some ‘light’ systems and database administration
· Responsible for deadlines, and personal work plans
· Documentation of code
Requirements
Background and Experience:
Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance (i.e., US Citizen).
Education: BA in a related discipline or an applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution and additional experience.
Experience: 0-3 years Web Development experience with primary focus in the .NET Framework (C#) and Sharepoint; An understanding of SQL, XML and Ajax. Highly Desirable but not required: some experience supporting windows based servers activities and/or database administration activities. Highly Desirable but not required: Knowledge of existing USMC and/or NMCI Network activity; Knowledge of ESRI ArcSDE, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server;
