Assistant, Human Assets

The human assets team fuels the growth and success of Teach For America through fostering extraordinary, diverse talent. We do so by supporting teams in recruiting, managing, developing, evaluating, retaining, and rewarding staff members in order to create a high performance organization that provides unparalleled leadership development opportunities. The assistant’s overall responsibility is to provide administrative support for the chief people officer of human assets and to provide overall support for the human assets team. The assistant will be responsible for duties ranging from scheduling and coordinating travel to budgeting to managing special projects. The assistant will report directly to the chief people officer, human assets.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Providing administrative support including, scheduling meetings, conference calls, maintaining calendars, and arranging travel, managing correspondence, and processing reimbursements
• Compiling, drafting and/or editing correspondence to team members, the organization, and external constituents
• Coordinating logistics, drafting agendas, providing advance materials, and executing follow up for meetings and team conferences
• Implementing processes and procedures to increase the human assets team’s efficiency and organization
• Helping develop and track the chief people officer budget
• Ensuring timely payment and tracking of bills, reimbursements, and expense reports for the chief people officer
• Driving and participating in discreet projects to support the human assets team in reaching ambitious goals
