Customer Service Representative - Part-time Work From Home

# Answer inbound calls from stores and customers regarding all facets of their credit card account.

# Resolve credit inquiries on new accounts and authorize sales on existing accounts.

# Utilize professional cross-selling techniques to generate additional revenue via retail, credit, and/or product marketing.

# Demonstrate proficiency in multi-functional work processes and have knowledge of all departments and branches including Collections, Risk/Authorizations, Payment Processing Centers, etc.

# Make use of problem solving/decision making skills to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

# Maintain and improve customer/client relations.

# Utilize PC, telephone & calculator.

# Continuous maintenance of customer profile via PC, as a result of written or verbal requests from customers.

# Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


# YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT."

# Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.

# Minimum 6 months of customer service experience of any kind

# Must be physically located within a 50 mile radius of the GE Money Office located in Charlotte, NC

# Must be willing to obtain, maintain and pay for a land line telephone, non-wireless broadband/high speed Internet connection, and a non-wireless headset (reimbursement of up to $40 after six months).

# Ability to work a shift encompassing a variety of operating hours and days of the week, including weekends and holidays as required. (

# Associates work up to 19.5 hours per week

# Must be able to attend training full-time for 9 days onsite and part-time virtual self-paced.

# Must be 18 years of age or older.

# Must be willing to participate in all of the following: background check, drug screen, fingerprinting.

# Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

# If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 6 months, have at least a "consistently meets expectations" performance rating and have the approval of your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR to apply if you don't meet the time-in-job or performance requirement)


Desired:

*Customer Service background.

# Virtual work experience helpful.

# College experience preferred.

# Previous sales experience.

# Able and willing to travel to the GE location in Charlotte, NC, for full-time training for up to two weeks.

# Able and willing to travel to the GE location in Charlotte, NC, for onsite meetings at management's request a minimum of once per quarter.

# Basic mathematical skills with use of calculator.

# Strong level of technical aptitude including PC proficiency and able to troubleshoot minor PC issues.

# Ability to work independently in a remote setting with limited supervision.

Specific hours and days will be varied (including weekends) to meet the needs of the business. Candidates need to be available for all team schedules; days and hours are subject to change. Must be able to meet the immediate need of any special client servicing hours. Must be able to train full time for up to two weeks on-site and virtual self-paced.
