Financial Journalist/Research Associate (Princeton, NJ or Telecommute)
Princeton, NJ-based InsiderScore is seeking a full-time, salaried Research Associate to add to its growing research team. The right candidate is intimately familiar with Securities and Exchange Commission filings, detailed-oriented, analytic-minded and possesses strong research and writing skills. This is primarily a writing job.
As a Research Associate, you will identify, analyze and summarize notable insider trading and institutional ownership disclosures each day. The work is research intensive and it involves being able to spot trends utilizing our quantitative software while applying qualitative analysis. As the right candidate evolves, s/he will become more involved in the research process by preparing in-depth research reports and working directly with clients and the media.

Requirements:
- Candidates with a background in financial journalism at a wire service preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to read and understand Securities and Exchange Commissions filings related to insider and institutional ownership disclosures (Form 4s, Schedule 13s, Proxies, etc.).
- Experience accessing regulatory filings utilizing the SEC's EDGAR system.
- Strong writing, researching and analytic skills and a detailed-oriented approach.
- The ability to quickly absorb and analyze information and write about it; and, to meet deadlines.
- A keen understanding of the stock market and institutional investors.
- The ability to work independently and within a team structure.
- Familiarity with Excel, online publishing and messaging systems and online researching methods.
Other: The option to telecommute (broadband connection required) or work out of our Princeton, NJ office. Only candidates living in the Washington, D.C. to Boston areas will be considered.
